Play is full of wine apps that sell bottles, meter scans, or keep your collection on their server. VinoCache is the opposite: photograph a label on-device, rack bins and drink windows, and keep the inventory in your pocket. No VinoCache account. No ads. We do not sell wine.

Why VinoCache
The big Play wine apps are good at what they were built for. Most were not built to keep a quiet household cellar without a login.

CellarTracker and Viniou keep the collection on their servers. Wine Scanner AI meters scans and shows ads until you subscribe. VinoCache Free is ten bottles on this phone — not a scan allowance.
One-tap backup with label photos. Pro can share that file through your Google Drive so a partner sees the same bins — no family login to babysit.
Label text is read on the phone. Printed, high-contrast labels fill vintage and ABV well. Script and foil still need a catalog tap or a custom entry. We will not pretend we out-scan a cloud AI.
Unlimited bottles, watchlist, LWIN import, PIN, and Drive share: $7.99 a year or $24.99 once. Scanner diaries on Play often ask about $42 a year. Collector platforms run much higher.
Add, drink, and search the seed catalog with no signal. The internet is optional — Drive, Play updates, or opening a site you chose.

Built for a household that drinks what it buys — not a social network.
Camera or the system photo picker. Crop tight to the label. On-device OCR maps producer, name, vintage, ABV, region, and grape. Printed labels work best; script and foil may need a catalog tap. Low-confidence reads say so. On a bottle, tap the label photo to see it full screen.
Search the built-in seed catalog or scan a barcode. If the list is a cousin from the same producer, add a custom wine — LWIN is not required. Region, country, and grape stay on that bottle. Pro can import the Liv-ex LWIN industry index.
Bottles live on the phone. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose Drive so a partner can share the same cellar. No ads, ever.
Bookmark a wine you have not bought yet. Watchlist is VinoCache Pro. Those wines do not count as cellar bottles.
Star bottles you own or wines you are watching. Search the Favorites list on Home.
If the catalog does not have your wine, add it as a custom bottle. That wine stays in Add search as Yours, so the next vintage can reuse the name and last label photo. Add and rename bins on the Bins menu. Each rack lives under a cellar. Switch rooms on the Cellar tab — tap Details to rename or add another cellar (Pro). Lists are All, Consumed, Favorites, and Watching; under those, All shows every bottle, or pick Drink now or a color. Tap Bottles or Value to hide those numbers. Tap Consumed to open finished bottles. If a row has several bottles, mark consumed asks how many were drunk — the rest stay in the cellar. Move to another cellar sends the whole row to a bin in a different room. Split moves some of them to another bin, including a bin in another cellar — and can merge if that bin already has the same wine. Drag bins into order, see what is ready to open, and keep a tasting log. Older backups keep their bins.
Save one file of every cellar from Settings → Backup & share — photos included, large labels compressed — and restore it on another phone. Drive for a second phone is that same file (Pro). Older backups still load.

If this phone is on an older VinoCache, a top bar and Settings → About offer Update VinoCache and open Google Play.
Pro can sync through Google Drive so you and a partner see the same bottles — who added what, what is left, what was drunk. Drive lives in Settings → Backup & share, next to the file snapshot. Large label photos are compressed so a full cellar can upload.
Pro can set a PIN when you first open VinoCache (or later in Settings) so a borrowed unlocked phone cannot see or change the cellar.
